In the case of Swiss musician Ana April, image and music merge in a completely natural way. What may sound like a cliché is her lived reality: as a scenographer, she has already designed numerous stage sets and exhibition spaces for renowned clients – in parallel, she has been pursuing her solo career for years, which is now clearly gaining momentum. 

Her music lives from multiple layered, melancholic female voices. With carefully arranged harmonies and instrumental combinations, her pieces develop in an organic and coherent way.  The use of metaphor and symbolism plays a central role in both her lyrical and musical expression.
